Customers that are using Profit Rhino as a data integration with Field Edge now have the capability of connecting their price book from Profit Rhino to Field Edge with an API. What this means is that you can now sync any changes made in Profit Rhino with a click of a button rather than having do to a data export. This article and video will walk you through how to sync the book any time you make changes.
Your Profit Rhino CSA will work with your Field Edge rep to handle the initial sync into your Field Edge test account and live account. Once they have done so you can then update your account without needing to contact your CSA anymore. The image below will show a new icon on your Profit Rhino account. To sync your book all you need to do is click on the icon and wait for it to turn green!
This is your Manage Book section. Notice that the bar underneath the icon is green. This means that any changes made to your category names, images, and newly created or removed categories are fully synced.
This is your Task section. Notice that the bar underneath the icon is yellow. This means that you have made changes to tasks that have yet to be sent over to FE
This is the button that will allow you to sync your book to Field Edge. Notice the arrows are yellow. This means that you have made updates that need to be synced over to Field Edge. To sync those changes all you need to do is click on the icon and it will start the sync. This will make the arrows start to spin. Once the arrows stop spinning and turn green your sync is complete!
The next section we are going to look at is what you want to sync over to Field Edge. To get to this section navigate to the Settings menu and then click on the Integrations menu on the left hand side.
Include Task Name - This will include the task name in the task name number field within Field Edge when marked green
Include Description - This will include the task description in the description field within Field Edge when marked green
Included Marketing Description - This will include the task marketing description in the description field within Field Edge when marked green
Include MPT - This will include the minutes per task within the task description field in Field Edge (Ex. MPT 60 means this task is 60 minutes)
Include Addons - Addons being enabled will duplicate your book with every task that has an addon being sent over as a separate task with an A# rather than a T#. These addons are the task times without the built in downtime
Enable extra category layer for book - This will create an additional category that your Profit Rhino price book will live inside of. If you wanted to have it separated from anything that you currently had in Field Edge you would use this
